Multiple Positions – Pioneer Valley Planning Commission

Up to four positions are available.

The PVPC is seeking candidates for up to four planners for the Community Development Department and the Land Use and Environment Department.

Community Development Planner:

Under general supervision, this position performs a wide variety of professional work in relation to regional planning, with an emphasis in grant writing for and implementing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, infrastructure planning, and other related planning and project management as needed. The position coordinates planning studies; collects and presents data and prepares reports; provides information and guidance to the public; assists in grant writing, grant implementation, contract administration and community outreach; and other duties as assigned.

Land Use and Environment Planner:

Under general supervision, this position performs a wide variety of planning tasks necessary to advance the PVPC’s mission of catalyzing regional progress. Work includes provision of professional, technical, and administrative work to execute housing, community development, land use, zoning, and planning projects at the local and regional levels including research, writing, attending public meetings, delivering public presentations and other duties as assigned.
