Job Summary
The Senior Asset Planning Manager (Transit Asset Management) will support the creation of asset management planning documents in collaboration with other members of MBTA Asset Management, various MBTA departments, and outside consulting teams. Examples of asset management planning documents include but are not limited to: Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) ,Transit Asset Management Plan (TAMP) and Capital Needs Assessment and Inventory (CNAI).
In line with 49 CFR 625, 630, and 673 requirements, the Senior Asset Planning Manager (Transit Asset Management) will assist the asset management program in developing its investment prioritizations in line with policies and strategies consistent with the Transit Asset Management Plan (TAMP) which improve or manage the State of Good Repair of capital assets. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the maturity of Criticality Factors, which help prioritize the investment into assets based on Safety, Climate Vulnerability, Operations, and Maintenance, Ridership, Equity, and Accessibility.
