The Town of Belmont is now accepting applications for the full-time position of: Administrative Assistant II
Hourly Pay Range: $23.5391 – $28.1934

Provides administrative support to Planning Division personnel. Composes, edits and types routine correspondence, reports and other materials for Planning Division and Department Head. Performs committee meeting support duties; compiles and distributes agenda materials, posts information to the Town website. Maintains databases, spreadsheets, and other files; creates informational flyers, community handouts, and other presentation materials as needed.
Assists residents and other members of the public providing department information, applications, forms and other departmental materials. Assists departmental staff with weekly payroll, budget preparation and other required, related information. Orders office supplies. Receives and records fees and payments as needed.
May conduct special projects as assigned including, but not limited to, contract administrative duties. May performs site visits to document field conditions to assist the Planning Division in gathering information for projects.
Requires High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in secretarial science, office management or related field with three years of progressively responsible secretarial and administrative support experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other general computer operations is a must.
The pay range is $23.5391 – $28.1934. This position works forty (40) hours per week and is eligible for the Town’s comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental and life insurance. This position is in the SEIU Local 888 Union and is subject to the respective collective bargaining agreement.
