Town Planner – Town of Brewster

The town of Brewster seeks qualified candidates for Town Planner.  Responsible for coordinating, organizing, and performing executive level work in the field of advanced municipal planning. Provides professional advice, technical expertise and practical alternatives to Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals to ensure effective planning and management of development and redevelopment in Brewster; assists the Planning Board in the development and implementation of amendments to the Town Code, Zoning By-laws, and other land use documents; supports the Vision Planning Committee in developing and monitoring implementation of Local Comprehensive Plan; coordinates Staff Review processes and provides technical expertise to applicants; assists in the management of the Town’s water quality initiative.   Candidate is expected to work collaboratively with all constituents, and be a consensus-builder. Master’s degree in planning, urban design, environmental science/design or a related field.  Minimum of five years of work experience in land-use planning, with a minimum three years in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
