Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
Employment Status: Full-Time
Experience: two (2) to five (5) years of experience.
Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Public Administration, or related field.
Direct Supervisor: Executive Director
Supervisory Responsibilities: none
Primary Work Location: Littleton, New Hampshire (office), Remote work option, travel throughout Coos, Grafton, and Carroll Counties with trips to southern NH and beyond.
Certification: Valid driver’s license
The Planning Specialists will conduct research, data collection, and analysis and provide technical planning support and information for the Council’s transportation, community, economic development, and environmental planning services and projects. The successful candidate will have professional GIS knowledge with two to five years of applying that knowledge to the challenges and aspects of community planning. This position will be approximately 50% in the office and 50% in the field. There is room to grow the GIS and technical offerings and aspects of the Council’s work in this position. The successful candidate for the Planning Specialist position will take responsibility for the maintenance and organization of the Council’s GIS, data program, and technical aspects of the Council’s program of work.
