Dear Chapter Member,
2020 and 2021 have been difficult years for planners across the country. If the pandemic interrupted your professional development plans, the COVID Extreme Hardship CM Exemption or Unemployed/In Transition Exemption may help you retain your AICP credential.
COVID Extreme Hardship Exemption
This exemption reduces your CM requirements for every quarter of a year that you or your family were affected by COVID-19. Learn more and apply for the COVID Extreme Hardship exemption.
Unemployed/In Transition Exemption
If the recession meant a loss or reduction in employment, you may be eligible for the Unemployed/In Transition exemption. Learn more and apply for the Unemployed/In Transition exemption.
Your AICP certification helps you make a greater impact in your work, and we’re here to help you keep that momentum going. If you have any questions about Certification Maintenance, contact us at AICPCM@planning.org.
