The Warren County Planning and Community Development Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant County Planner. The Assistant County Planner will assist the County Planner in administering and implementing the functions of the Department. Duties include staff support to various town boards and committees, preparation of complex planning studies and review of development proposals. In this position, the successful candidate will act for and on behalf of the County Planner in his/her absence. Attendance at various evening board and committee meetings may be required.
SALARY: $ 61,855
- A Master’s Degree in planning, architecture, civil engineering, urban geography, landscape architecture, or a closely related field AND five (5) years of experience in municipal, community, or regional planning, one (1) year of which must have involved supervisory responsibilities;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in planning, architecture, civil engineering, urban geography, landscape architecture or a closely related field AND seven (7) years of experience in municipal, community, or regional planning, one (1) year of which must have involved supervisory responsibilities.
- Any combination of training and experience equal to or greater than that specified in (A) and (B) above.
RESIDENCY: Warren County residency required.
The position will be filled based upon Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet Civil Service requirements for appointment following establishment of the Eligible List.
