Analyst – Transportation Planner p/t – Massport

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a temporary analyst to support the Strategic & Business Planning unit monitoring, analyzing, reporting on, conducting research for, and developing rigorous, data-driven short-term and long-term technical strategic analysis for Massport with application to all business lines – Aviation, Maritime and Real Estate. The position will provide the employee with ability to use their superior analytical and visualization skills to assist decision making in a fast-paced agency.  Candidate must possess proficiency with managing and analyzing data with ESRI software. Candidate must also have experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Illustrator, SPSS and/or other programs, as well as familiarity with multivariate analysis, familiarity with statistical and data management software (R, PostGreSQL), and interest in aviation and/or regional planning issues. 

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Urban/Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering or other related degree or equivalent professional experience required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in project/policy/economic evaluation, data analysis, and /or related domains such as City Planning, GIS Administration.
