City-wide Bicycle Facilities Master Plan – City of Pittsfield

The City of Pittsfield (Massachusetts) seeks proposals from qualified firms or individuals to undertake a planning process to develop a City-wide bicycle facilities master plan.

The City desires to develop a safe and accessible City-wide network that accommodates transportation by bicycle for all users, whether travelling to work, shopping, or leisure.  Through efforts to adopt Complete Streets policies City-wide and to design roadway projects with complete streets elements on North and Tyler Streets, it is evident that the City should begin planning for bicycle facilities growth comprehensively versus one street at a time.  This project will include an evaluation of the overall City road network and development of an implementation plan for increased bicycle accommodations, such as parking and maintenance facilities.

Proposals are due on November 27, 2019.  For more information, please contact the City’s Purchasing Department at (413) 499-9470 or purchasing@cityofpittsfield.org.
