Economic Development Coordinator – Town of Leicester

The Town of Leicester is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Economic Development Coordinator.

The Economic Development Coordinator is responsible for promoting and fostering business and economic development in the Town. The Economic Development Coordinator will work with individuals and companies to establish, relocate and/or expand their businesses in Town. The position will assist with the planning and coordination of community development projects, local and state permitting and licensing processes and Town sponsored projects.  The position is also responsible  for researching, writing and managing local, federal and state grants.

Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Public Administration, Community Planning/Development, Economics or a related field; one to three (1-3) years of office experience in planning, zoning, or grant writing; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Hourly rate up to $26.32, DOE with competitive benefits. Hours negotiable. Position may be PT or FT, based on negotiation with the preferred applicant.
