The Town of Watertown is seeking to fill a dynamic position in a vision-focused Department of Community Development & Planning Department to provide technical assistance in the fields of housing, community planning and economic development, land use planning, zoning, project review, capital improvements, grants and working with the Planning Board, Board of Appeals and Watertown Housing Partnership. Candidate must have familiarity with MGL Ch. 40A and HOME program funding. The position involves daily interaction with the public and municipal officials requiring strong oral and written skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Planning or related field and 3 years experience, Master’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated proficiency required in computer skills, and GIS skills strongly preferred and a valid Massachusetts driver’s license with good driving record.
