The Center for Creative Solutions is offering a unique six-day studio style workshop in Londonderry, VT to re-imagine a landscape devastated by Tropical Storm Irene that may become a precedent for other flooded communities. MASSACHUSETTS HOUSING INSTITUTE June 12 – 13, 2013 8:30am-4:00pm Devens Commons, Devens, MA Geared toward officials and volunteers working in suburban and rural communities, the Housing Institute is a two-day intensive workshop that actively engages participants in discussion and problem solving around issues related to the development of affordable housing. This year’s Housing Institute is focused on how to take a project from concept to action. Participants are encouraged to bring a particular project in mind to discuss next steps and how to overcome road blocks. Participants should expect to come away with a realistic plan of action going forward. MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Bureau of Resource Protection Southeast Region Circuit Rider Workshop www.mastep.net EVALUATING STORMWATER BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES The MASSACHUSETTS STORMWATER TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION PROJECT was established to provide technology transfer information about innovative stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) to MassDEP, Conservation Commissions, local officials, and other BMP users to help them make appropriate technology implementation decisions. MASTEP is a clearing house of information on proprietary storm water technologies and a prioritization process for investment in technology demonstrations and testing. The project focuses on validating performance of proprietary and con- ventional storm water BMPs and Low Impact Development (LID) practices.
