Town Planner – Town of Sterling

The Town of Sterling seeks qualified candidates to fill the full time 40 hours per week, benefited position of Town Planner.

An ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who applies innovative and contemporary planning practices into community development, possesses excellent leadership and communications skills, has a thorough understanding of land use principles with historic preservation and environmental issues a plus, will demonstrate strong project management skills, and be able to perform at a high level in a team-oriented environment.

The Town Planner will work with the Planning Board and Master Plan Committee to develop/update the Town’s 56-year-old Master Plan. He/she will explore new funding opportunities for Sterling such as Complete Streets, Community Preservation Act, and Community Compact.

Salary range of $49,447 to $74,191 depending on qualifications, with benefits.
