“Jane Jacobs in the Woo” is a grassroots effort in Worcester focused at promoting the timeless values of Jane Jacobs – walkability, historic preservation, and community participation, to name just a few. This past spring, the group organized “Jane Week,” which offered a series of walks and talks across Worcester on planning and neighborhood topics. The group has also been actively promoting Complete Streets and Design Review concepts, and in October, the group co-organized a city council candidates forum. This program will feature Paul Dell’Aquila, AICP, one of the founders of the group, who will talk about how the group got started, the impact it has had so far on planning and development discussions in Worcester, and the group’s goals for the future.

Please note: The program will start promptly at 12:00pm and will feature a buffet lunch. Please arrive by 11:45am so you can be seated.
