Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission Internship Available

The amazing team at Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission (SNHPC) is offering a planning internship for a recently graduated or current student in the fields of planning, landscape architecture, geographic information systems, engineering, journalism, communications, social sciences, or similar field(s). The intern will work with the SNHPC staff on numerous planning-related projects.

Applicant must be available to work 37.5 hours per week for at least six months, possibly longer. He/she shall have a good understanding and keen interest in planning and community development. Programs used are Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ArcGIS 10. Social media savvy and experience with Microsoft Access and Publisher are a plus. Excellent interpersonal, community outreach, writing skills, ability to juggle multiple projects, and high initiative are also required. The applicant must provide his/her own transportation to and from the Planning Commission’s office in Manchester, New Hampshire. Salary rate range is between $12-$15 per hour, depending upon qualifications.
