The Town of Nantucket, Massachusetts is seeking a full time Land Use Specialist for the Planning and Land Use Services (PLUS) department.   The Land Use Specialist will report to the Director of Planning, or his designee, and will focus on work related to the Nantucket Historic District Commission, however, work related to other boards/committees including, but not limited to the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals may be required from time to time.  Job duties will primarily include architectural plan review, inspectional services to insure compliance with approved architectural plans, staff support at meetings and in the office, and other related duties as may be required.  This is a 35 hour per week full-time union position with benefits. Start date of July 1, 2017 preferred.  Starting salary ranges from $69,415 to $76,235 pursuant to Appendix B-2 in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Nantucket and the Massachusetts Laborers District Council in effect through June 30, 2017, as may be amended.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Historic Preservation, or graduate level course work in a related field, or an equivalent combination of related experience, training, or education. Pay commensurate with experience, education, and AICP accreditation.
