The Martha’s Vineyard Commission (MVC) is now accepting applications for the position of Transportation Intern for the 2017 summer season. The intern will be responsible for providing research assistance and staff support regarding transportation issues. Duties include collecting transportation data, reviewing site plans, analyzing traffic issues, summarizing findings, and other tasks. Applicants should be motivated to work independently as they will mostly be working in the field, which may require some light physical work. The work will be performed under the general supervision of the Transportation Planner. More information about the MVC is available on our website: www.mvcommission.org

College students or recent graduates in engineering, planning or landscape architecture preferred. Applicant must have their own car for some duties and be able to lift 50 pounds.

SALARY: $14.00 per hour (up to 35 hours/week for 8 weeks)
