Two Openings for the Town of Norwell: Town Planner and Interim Planner

Town of Norwell has re-opened its search for a Town Planner who serves as the Planning Board Agent and resource for all planning issues presented to the Town; performs administrative, supervisory and technical work in assisting the Planning Board; provides information to applicants and the public on planning-related matters.  Starting salary is up to $73,100( DOQ); a 2% COLA will be effective 7-1-17.  The position requires prior professional planning experience; candidate must possess a high level knowledge of principles and practices of urban planning, land-use planning, site planning, architectural design and GIS skills.  Bachelor’s degree in related field with planning experience required;  Master’s degree with planning experience preferred.  Use of a personal vehicle is required to reach construction sites and other government offices.  Employee is under the administrative direction of the Town Administrator and the policy direction of the Town of Norwell Planning Board.  This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
