Transportation Planner for Bicycle and Pedestrian/Livability Programs

The Central Transportation Planning Staff (CTPS) of the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking a qualified manager for its Bicycle and Pedestrian Program and Livability Program.

A master’s degree in urban/regional planning, transportation planning, engineering, or another closely related field and two years of relevant experience are required

The qualified candidate will be a committed advocate for bicycle, pedestrian, and livability issues. He or she will also have:

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience in data collection, cleaning, and processing
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Excellent project-management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations and prepare high-quality written products

Familiarity with GIS software and bicycle, pedestrian, and livability design and policies, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) legislation requirements is a plus.
