CDBG Program Manager/Grant Writer/Planner – Community Opportunities Group
Dynamic, multidisciplinary planning and community development consulting firm seeks talented individual for full- or part-time position that incorporates multiple disciplines summarized in position’s name. Community Opportunities Group, Inc. has been providing consulting services to municipalities, non-profit organizations and private firms throughout New England for more than 30 years. We are seeking to fill a mid-level project manager position with an experienced community development/planning professional. We will consider training an entry-level professional with the appropriate educational background and potential. Economic development and project pro forma experience will be highly valued when reviewing candidates for this position.
Grant Writer/Program Manager responsibilities include grant writing and administration of CDBG and other grant-funded community development and affordable housing initiatives, supervising local administrative staff, training local professional staff, regulatory and policy compliance, financial management of grant funds, managing public facility construction projects, supervising multi-site housing rehabilitation projects and monitoring projects for compliance with state and federal regulations. Typical Planner responsibilities include the preparation of planning studies in the areas of land use, open space, housing, downtown revitalization and economic development. This position requires local (MA/CT/RI) day travel on a regular basis (an auto is needed), and splits time between in-office and client field work. The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in all described elements of the position, be able to handle a diverse portfolio of responsibilities simultaneously and be comfortable working as part of small teams.
